BBC Radio Tees - guest speaker!

I had the privilege of speaking on BBC Radio Tees this morning where we talked about all things immune boosting! Top tips on foods for the immune system:

  1. Rainbow plate - aim for 10 fruits and vegetables a day. Packed with antioxidants and a whole host of nutrients to support your immune system in the most natural and cost effective way.

  2. Take a probiotic - a large proportion on your gut actually has immune tissue so it’s no surprise that the gut plays a huge role in the function of our immune system. Taking a daily probiotic may help to support optimal function of the immune system.

  3. Reduce sugar and processed food - it has been suggested that one teaspoon of sugar compromises your immune system for up to 6 hours!

  4. Increase fibre and prebiotic foods - such as oats, garlic, blueberries, onions, jerusalem artichokes, flaxseed meal.
